An Apple A Day...

You know how the saying goes...

I was in Target not long ago and came across this contraption. It kind of looks like a torture machine for apples but can I tell you it's the most fun I've had with apples in a while! Yes Sunny eats them whole in their natural state but today's curly apples made them more appealing...

I wonder if this would work with potatoes - Curly fries anyone?

Stuck with how to make fruit more appealing? Take a look at the Fruit Skewers that Sunny and I made here and the Raspberry Sorbet we made here.

    1. We used to have one at the preschool I work at and we'd make apples for the kids of an afternoon. Basically you attach apple and it holds onto the core and as you turn the handle it carves the apple into a long spiral... Kids love it!

  2. We love ours! Though it doesn't get used as often as it should. Lucky they just eat apples as they come for lunch boxes, but at home it's nice for something different. Apparently you can use it to make curly fries too, I haven't tried that yet though.

Thanks so much for your kind comment on my ruffled apron top tutorial... I'd love to see what you come up with :)
PS. I couldn't reply to your comment on my post directly as your profile is set as a no-reply commenter. You may already know this, but I thought I'd mention it incase you didn't, as a lot of people don't realise it's set that way.
