Valentine's Day Cards...

In the lead up to Christmas I took part in The Good Mail Club hosted by the lovely Sarah over at Molly's Maison. I think Sunny enjoyed this as much as I did, receiving Christmas cards and well wishes for the holidays from people around the world that I have never actually 'met' other than through blogs, if they had one. I'm excited to be taking part in the Valentine's Day installment of The Good Mail Club... My letterbox is in some desperate need of some lovely mail. I can't remember the last time I actually received an official valentine! I need to inject some romance into my life! Even if it is through mail...

When was the last time you received some lovely things in your mail box other than bills?

I've had two weeks to prepare a Valentine surprise for a group of lovely ladies... Being Valentine's Day I decided to keep within the theme of love and hearts - All you need is love... Right?!

I used Kasercard which I bought from Spotlight (which is on sale at the moment for members). Quite simple really. I had a large heart hole puncher in my stash from a while back but you can also draw up a template to trace and cut out your hearts if you don't have a puncher. Just takes a little longer. With your sewing machine, stitch a straight line down the centre of the heart onto a plain card. Again I bought plain white cardstock from Spotlight. Fold the sides of your heart upwards and it gives it that 3D effect. Looks sweet and home made :) It'll definitely be one of a kind.

I'm actually working on another little 'heart' project that will decorate Sunny's room as soon as I'm done.

Stay tuned...
